Last week, I posted all about the set-up of my 2018 bullet journal. Well, today, I'm bringing you a glimpse into the layout of my January 2018 spread! I'm super excited with how this one turned out.

Living in British Columbia, Canada, Januarys are pretty snowy. I wanted to stick with the festive winter theme, so I planned a snowflake spread for this month.
What do you think??
I love snowflakes and I think this turned out pretty cute!
I LOVED the monthly spread I did last September! Check out that spread here. I wanted to re-create something similar. I found it practical and cute and it really works with any theme or colour-scheme.
I always include trackers in my monthly spreads. I think tracking your lifestyle and the things that make you happy is always a good idea. I'm continually working on myself to become more thoughtful and self-aware and I find it so helpful being able to see trends in my lifestyle.
This month, I added a new one to the list - 10,000 steps! This is one of my New Year's "goals"; did you catch my insta story on this topic on January 8th?? I ranted for a while about how I don't like the phrase "New Year's Resolutions," because the word has become meaningless. SO MANY people break their resolutions and break them super early in the year. I also think the term "goals" is more approachable. I get less discouraged if I don't totally meet the aim, and it makes it seem less like a chore and more like a fun self-improvement activity. Calling it a goal doesn't make me any less committed or serious about the task, it just makes it more realistic and practical.
Finally, as per usual, I've included my first weekly spread of the month. If you want to see the others, you'll have to check me out on Instagram here!
Because I had a bit of a late start on my bujo this month, I combined the first two weeks into one spread. I think I might consider doing this more often in the future, especially when I'm on holidays or don't have a lot on my plate. I definitely use a whole two-page spread when I'm busy, but when I'm on summer break, or don't have a teaching contract, I don't always need all that extra space. Plus, I love how this spread turned out! I think the snowflake theme was fully embraced here and it's super cute!
You've probably noticed that I didn't include some of the monthly features that I did last year. I've explained all of that in my last post, which talked all about my 2018 bujo set-up. You can read that here!
Thanks for taking the time to read all about my January set-up! What theme are you doing for this month?? Leave me a comment below or on my Instagram feed - @whitelilylettering.
